Built as one of the most beautiful buildings in the city, the Derry Guildhall is the last of its kind to still be in use. The guildhall has played a major part in Derry’s history, having hosted the premiere of Brian Friel’s most famous play, Translations. A 2013 refurbishment added some dedicated tourist sites to the hall, making it a great day out for anyone heading to the city. With the guildhall right by the peace bridge, we recommend that visitors to Derry use the hall to begin a tour of the city’s attractions.
